"Lovely park here in the grounds of Clay House. Small s lection of apparatus for the kids and a large field for ball games. The wall at the far end is suitable for people who paint graffiti. Not much parking though. Access to Dean Woods from the park.
Update: realised that I'm missing the fact that there is a car park across the footbridge over the brook."

"The council have removed benches, picnic tables, years ago it had a paddling pool on the bottom field the asphalt path is seriously degraded dangerously so in winter, the play area is old and falling apart, teenagers have destroyed what is left, there is broken glass on paths and the playing field! This park used to be a great place to take kids now it's only good for dog walkers and people using it as a shortcut the council needs to invest actual money not just kind words!"
Chris Graham
"Usually take the grandchildren, great park with football field below. Ample parking and free. Handy for West Vale and all outlets. Two great chippys on the doorstep. Beautiful gardens above the park and at the side of Clay House. Paths lead into Copley Wood and are great for walkers. Walk onto Copley, sit and watch the rugby and have a pint."
