"Take a breather whilst shopping and take a relaxing visit the castle gardens which is situated not far from the High Street.
The place is beautifully kept and the gardens are really well planted up notably with spring bulbs AND also for the summer season.
I advise you not to miss both the upper and the lower levels of the grounds.
The castle mound itself is a bit of a climb but well worth it for the view. The castle does open to but I've never been inside.
There is a fascinating little statue as a tribute to Lewis Carol who wrote 'Alice Through The Looking Glass' very nearby when he lived here.
I thoroughly recommend this little gem of a place to anyone..."
