"Currently on holiday in Wales and making the most of our visit. The Railway was recommended at our holiday site and so glad they did..
What a wonderful experience this place provides, such a unique family day out. Amazing route taken by train just amazing views . Steam train itself definitely the highlight of the day . So much history to learn. The commitment of the volunteers is truly remarkable, learning what they do to what's planned truly amazing."

"Took the 13:15 train to nowhere and back again, it was a wonderful experience. From booking through to safely returning to home the process was easy and enjoyable.
When we collected the tickets from the office the lady was very welcoming and gave my dog lots of attention, and some treats, which he loved. Have pre-booked our tickets the allocation thoughtfully placed us in a position where we had space for the dog to relax without being in the way of others, even though we were booked in open seating.
We walked the platform and boarded the train, which set off promptly. The ticket inspector gave us a brief of the journey and what to expect.
We had the opportunity to watch the tractor unit swap from a forward pull to a reverse pull, at the far station. On the way back we were able to stretch our legs and read about some of the history of the railway and the supporting technologies. As well as see the miniature railway, unfortunately this wasn't dog friendly for any dog who can't fit in your lap.
Finally we hopped back in the train to the starting station to disembark one last time and return to the car.
Afternoon tea was available, and I hear it was delightful but couldn't have it myself due to the no dogs in the dining carriage policy (which is to be expected).
All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting the area."
