What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Hartlebury Common for its natural beauty, open spaces, and suitability for dog walking and family outings. The unique sand dunes and opportunities to see wildlife like cows are frequently mentioned positives. However, a significant drawback is the lack of facilities, including toilets and bins, leading to issues with dog mess, and the car park can become full.
"I had a pleasant walk around the common with my 2 year old. He was able to explore the nature and also saw some horses nearby too. No litter at all. Good for families and dog walkers."
Adam Chatfield
"Always lovely here. Big car park with mounds of earth around which if you back in to the parking space means you dont need a dog ramp!! Friendly dog walkers on the whole and pretty flat which makes for an enjoyable walk"
Jane Haylor
"Visited late morning last week, lovely area to walk around and a real treat to see the cows. However, single lane access made it difficult to enter/exit car park and by the time we left the car park at around 1-2pm, it was full. A few picnic benches were available, no cafe or toilet facilities. No playground but plenty of space for kids to run around and trees to climb. Only big shame was that several dog walkers were not picking up their dog mess from the grass or leaving dog mess in bags on the floor. Appreciate it's an outdoor space but it's still public, dogs should be kept within eyeline to check if they are defecating; other dogs, adults and kids should be free to walk/run around without the risk of stepping in dog mess."
