"A large park with the river Tweed running through it. There a free car park across from it. Mr Dog loved it plenty of space to run and he loved the river. We walked the loop past Neidpath Castle , across the bridge and down the other side. It's a lovely peaceful walk, a variety of summer flowers in bloom and great views of the castle. I would recommend walking boots and I was glad had a walking pole because some of ground had lots of tree roots and rocks. The locals are friendly, just about everyone you meet speaks and many stop for a chat. If you are feeling brave you can walk through the old railway tunnel."

"Absolutely beautiful park. We are on holiday in the area and we've noticed all the green spaces we've seen whether big or small puts our area of South Manchester to shame.

"I walk my dog here every day. It's a wonderful open area bounded on the south by the River Tweed. It also has a great children's play area. With many trees in the Park it's a fabulous place to walk through in the autumn. It also hosts many events throughout the year including car rallies, highland games etc."
