"Spent 5 days and 4 nights at this wonderful hotel/resort. My overall experience was made even more special by the staff. Each person was helpful with a smile. That is not typical at most 5 star hotels. We stayed in the cottages and will return as soon as possible. Thanks to Ellie who welcomed us upon arrival and Kristie who was able to help us make a friendโs birthday super special!
Dogs are welcome and I was so happy to see children enjoying the common areas, pools, and beaches! However there are plenty of places for kids-free privacy for those that enjoy more solitude.
The food was delicious and well prepared. One of the best chateaubriand that Iโve had in a long time. Recommend trying the mussels and tomato salad, as well.
Some aspects of the bathroom need updating such as the shower glass being too short to keep water in the shower and unfortunately the world we live in requires connecting most of the time, so higher speed WiFi with additional capacity to stay connected would be better.

"Had sandwiches and a beer. It was a good example of how something basic like a sandwich can be really good. Nice bread, cheese, chives, a few root veg crisps and a little salad. Oh and a lovely Guinness to accompany it.
The hotel has a stunning location with panoramic views. It always reminds me of the Overlook hotel from the Shinning, but all the good features, not the horror ๐"

"Where do I begin?.... Fabulous. A fabulous place with fabulous service, fabulous staff and fabulous facilities. I have wanted to stay here for many years and it did not disappoint. Where else do you get a personalised tour of the building and facilities?. I'll not lie but for what we paid I was underwhelmed by our room, but we were hardly in it so that is really a mute point. The reception staff are excellent, the bar and waiting staff fabulous, the room staff? We didn't see you but the effort was appreciated, that's why I stripped the bed in a small attempt to make your day easier. Nothing was too much trouble even if it was a portion of ketchup on a luxury meal. Nobody encumbered you, but we're available. Verity our breakfast server was fabulous, friendly and personable... This is a place where staff are allowed to shine and approach their guests on a personal level. The bar staff are so engaging and ready to ask 'what brings you here' and smiled while I absolutely melted and talked to them about why I've always wanted to visit because of a film they are far too young to have seen, and we're genuinely interested when I told them about where all the scenes were filmed in the room we were in... They probably hear it multiple times, but engaged and that really made it for me. The facilities are exceptional..... Tell me you couldn't spend all day in the aqua club quite happily. An amazing stay with amazing people in a iconic setting."
