Wells next the sea

Hello, I'll be visiting wells-next-the-sea in a few days. Good weather too. What are some fun and maybe free places to check out? This is my first time visiting a beach town in the country. Thanks!

wild camping

Hey Norwich friends. Anyone know of a decent spot to wild camp around the area? I know that without right to roam wild camping isn't technically allowed in England, but we've got plenty of space and as long as I'm respectful I won't feel too bad about it. Thanks!

Best seaside destination for a day trip from Cambridge

We're thinking of visiting the seaside at the weekend and I'm wondering what the best place to go is, driving from Cambridge. There are a lot of places in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex that are all more or less the same distance away - I've had recommendations of Cromer,…

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning, expansive sandy beach and the diverse natural beauty of the pine woods and salt marshes. The accessibility efforts, particularly the compacted sand path for wheelchairs, are highly praised, though the steep boardwalk can be a challenge. It's a haven for wildlife and a perfect spot for dog walkers.

"On a cold winter day there is nothing more braising than a walk from Wells beach past the famous and beautiful Beach huts that I am sure have many tales to tell, and then to walk Inland to the silent peaceful wooded area. This is s very Special area."

"Spent the Summer Solstice in the Woods, Dunes, and beaches.
Holkham beach is big , suited to those who love to walk. There are a few ways to enter from the car park. Most people go straight on,(quickest route )if you want quieter vibes, take the left path and look for the boardwalk on the right, this will take you to the beach or through the wood's. There is also the option to walk a path through the middle of both on the Dunes. Google maps will help here, and show points of interest in and around the whole area. Have fun 👍 😊"

Dean Bond

"We had a really really great time here and will certainly be back. I hadn't researched this beach so was so pleasantly surprised that I was able to take my wheelchair with it's power trike the whole way down to the sea in order to swim with our boy. There is a path through the sand which is mixed with volcanic sand so it is very compacted and perfect for wheelchairs! The beach is dog friendly and accessed via a wooden boardwalk. This is fairly steep so be careful, especially if it is wet. The beach is super scenic, with pine trees and sea lavender. There is loads and loads of parking, a cafe and toilet facilities."
