What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise Hornsea Museum for its fascinating collection of Hornsea Pottery and its engaging exhibits on local history and trades. The seaside location and cafe with views are also frequently highlighted as positives. However, some reviews mention issues with cleanliness and service in the cafe, which can detract from the overall experience.
"Oh gosh, we came for breakfast after a little walk down the front, it was very disappointing and quite the shock what we witnessed. I have to say the cleanliness is seriously lacking. There were no staff on the floor, chairs, tables and more worryingly the cutlery was absolutely filthy. No one clearing tables. Friendly enough staff but all in the kitchen. I cleaned my own table, the breakfast was dreadful. My coffee was lathered in chocolate power, never again. I am seriously considering contacting environmental health to do a thorough inspection. Never again."

"We stopped in the cafe here while waiting for some cyclists on the coast to coast. Pleasantly surprised. Very clean and bright, great views, and nice selection of food and drink, much better than expected from a leisure centre."
Christopher Cooknell
"A lovely leisure centre. The staff are always courteous and friendly and the facilities well maintained. I actually travel out of my way to go swimming there instead of more local venues as it just has a nicer feel. Plus I get to go for a wander on the beach at Mappleton on my way home (tide permitting).
I highly recommend this place!!!"
