"Train heaven for railway fans. Fabulously preserved and maintained railway stations, great selection of locomotives and train trips. And if you are an enthusiast you must try a footplate experience. I did the Class 73 driving experience which was excellent. Our driver and engineer were lovely, gave great coaching and made the whole experience really memorable. You get to take charge of the train from one station to the next including passage through a tunnel. Don’t forget to toot the horn. Great fun!"

"Just been to their autumn steam gala today.
Absolutely brilliant time.
Haven't been there for about 15 years.
They had a few guess steam engines.
Two GWR ones & their very own. ' Beachy Head' .
Had a several attempts at trying to stand on the footplate of GWR's
'Lady of Legend'. Started to get very disappointed. Ahhh but then got the chance. Made my day 😃🎉.
Although previous l did get to stand on the footplate of 'Beachy Head'.
Walked around the engine shed. Slightly reduced availability, then when l was a child. But that was 40 years ago.
On the whole, a absolutely brilliant day out."

"Great place, allowed on the footplate of a steam engine that had just pulled in, got to shovel some coal into a live steam train.
They had a toy/train fair on so there was even more to see and do. Amazing amount of old signs on the walls of the well restored station. All the staff were dressed for the occasion and looked the part."
