"A local friend suggested a visit to The Horton, because we are always looking for new places to go to, for a coffee and cake: our lives have taken that sort of limited turn. We knew the cluster of hospitals from years of living in the area, but had no idea about the various redevelopments since the awful Care in the Community of the 1990’s.
What a delightful experience! The Horton Chapel has been beautifully reconfigured, to provide a spacious cafeteria, a huge, light and airy space for exhibitions, a Theatre with a stage, excellent accessible, clean toilets, including Disabled units; a lift to the mezzanine level. Every part of it gives disabled access.
We visited twice in a week: once to “visit” and yesterday, to hear a fascinating lecture from Julian Pooley, FSA. there is also a lovely local artists exhibition running until 12th September. Bithe occasions were easy, friendly, comfortable. We have also booked to see The Drum, a play that is on during October.

While it is a bit out of the way, getting there is easy. It's just a short taxi or bus ride from Epsom town centre. There's also a dedicated car park, which is a handy option even though I didn't use it this time. Overall, it's a fantastic spot, and I'll definitely be looking out for other events and performances they host."
