Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Bernwood Forest as a hidden gem for peaceful walks and dog-friendly adventures. The natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and free access are major draws. Some note that parking can be limited and streams may be dry in summer, but overall, it's highly recommended for a serene escape into nature.

"Beautiful place, lovely for dog walking, keep on the flat unused road if you can't do uneven surfaces, still a lovely entertaining walk whichever way you go.
I took the butterfly trail very well, signed a posted and a high field to visit on route.

Parking there is good but it's a big forest so expect to park on the side road if not a space, it's all free.
There's dog bins around, so please use them. I did see a few poo bags just dropped on the floor (shame spoils a lovely place).

Has a few streams around, but when I visited, they had dried up (july), so take water for the dogs."

"Decided for a walk! Away from London. Picked a random place, never heard of it, and this place was nice! Lovely walk in the middle of the forest and not a soul in sight. Well, it did rain but it was fun! Make sure you are ready to walk! It's nice and long! Dog friendly obviously - perfect place for them."

"Amazing place for a walk. Heard a cuckoo and woodpecker. Lots of butterflies and caterpillars."
