What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the House of MinaLima, calling it a magical and inspiring destination, especially for Harry Potter fans. The shop's beautiful design, the gallery of original film props, and the stunning illustrated books are consistently praised. While some note the shop's small size and potential for queues, the friendly staff and unique merchandise make it a highly recommended stop in London.
"I am in love with this shop. Been following MinaLima for quite a while. So it is amazing to see their actual shop so much amazing stuff to buy, and there’s like a little gallery downstairs that you can look at all the original props used in Harry Potter. All the workers seemed really nice and friendly and knowledgeable."

"I didn’t know about MinaLima before our trip to London, but stumbled upon them do to their amazing pride display in the window along with their amazing copies of Brothers Grimm stories. I went inside to experience their extraordinary art work. There vision and ability to bring things to live is amazing. They are obviously well known for their work with the Harry Potter universe. There was so many things I wanted to buy. However, given JKR and our desire for her not to be receiving any royalties (and we asked - she does - even here), we stuck to purchasing only non-HP items. However, we loved their pride display in the window, the fundraising buttons, and the activity on the lower level for the pride festival that gave their own personal nod in the opposite direction of she who must not be named. Respect to them for that.
Note, the copies I bought of Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid are stunning. Truly some extraordinary artists."

"I was drawn in by the whimsical decor of the shop. Turns out the owners are graphic designers who worked on some of the Harry Potter films. Unfortunately, the Harry Potter items are all licensed and despite being gorgeous, proceeds of it that go to Rowling will go towards harming marginalized communities. That’s nothing against the shop, they should be proud of their work. There are other books and art to choose from.
They had a really nice window display of people’s Pride stories for London Pride, people wrote on little slips of paper and they hung them up."
