"Incredibly peaceful place to go on walks. Very fascinating looking at all the names on the gravestones and just walking around the place. Very tranquil. Would definitely like to be buried here when the time comes (hopefully not soon 😂) touch wood 😂"

"Managed to find 4 headstones belonging to some of my great granddad Bill’s long gone relatives as well as clean them up and lay some pretend roses..
The only drawback is I don’t know where to start with the pauper’s graves as there’s nothing there and very easy to walk all over… The council really must reintroduce “Guinea graves”; basically public graves with upright stones that have each 4 or 5 different people’s names as well as on both sides…
Amongst those buried in that huge bare spot are my great granddad’s parents.. they died poor, especially the father who was in fact in the First World War.."

"Extensive Borough Cemetery to be found on the northern perimeter of Ipswich. Centuries of the town's deceased have been laid to rest here in the well kept grounds. Amongst the more notable gravestones is that of emigre Russian Prince Obolensky, killed in service as a volunteer RAF pilot, at nearby Martlesham Heath airbase, in 1940"
