Make sure you watch to the end. Today I decided to find the Carsaig Arches. Didn’t look that far on a map (6.5km) and there appeared to be a trod. The descriptions of the route did say there would be some rocks. Well let’s just say there wasn’t much running. More progressive moving along the beach rocks, little goat trods, chatting to the goats, scrambling over rocks, past some stunning waterfalls ...

Carsaig Arches is a breathtaking natural wonder offering spectacular sea arches and a rewarding, albeit challenging, hike. Visitors praise the stunning views, the sense of solitude, and the chance to see wildlife like eagles. However, the path is rough and demanding, with significant tick risks and a lack of mobile signal, making it unsuitable for casual visitors or families with young children.

"Rather challenging hike. Beautiful views and mostly you have the place for yourself. However: please beware of ticks. Had about 35 on me after the hike. There is an oily substance on the water at some places. And a lot of plastic trash laying around."

Astrid van Blijswijk

"Read all the reviews please. Ask a local if you want to attempt this. The road to the view point is not for the faint of heart. Surprised a tire didn't pop. With no signal, can be daunting.

There is no path. There is a clearing where yew get a view of the islands, but it's a shear cliff to doom.
Not sure where I was meant to go to get to this beautiful cliff.

Just simply go to another part of the island. Not worth it unless you have a satellite phone, a compass and have lost your marbles"

Emma Green

"Spectacular sea arches. You can park just up from the old pier and walk along the shore to get to them. The path is very rough but the walk is well worth it for the spectacular sea arches and cliffs. Give yourself lots of time, it may be under 14km there and back but it isn't a quick walk. We also wild goats and an eagle."
