"Stunning beach. Mostly sandy, lots of areas that are great for exploring including the sand dunes. There is a path that takes you round the coast towards Clacton.
Well worth a visit. Sunspot has opened recently with lots of refreshments options at one end of the beach - recommend the Sunspot Cafe.
Beach Bar 82 at the other end has lots of great food options too."

"We were in the area for the weekend and wanted to go for a beach walk. Realising we couldn’t walk the dog on Clacton beach we came to Jaywick, knowing nothing about it. It seems people like to knock the town as it’s very poor, but it’s worth a visit for the gorgeous, long, sandy - and very clean - beach. We also had a lovely lunch at the Sunspot. Worth a visit."
