Reviews Summary

The abundance of nature, from wildflowers to birdlife, is a major draw, offering a peaceful escape. While the walk to the beach can be a trek, the affordable parking and on-site refreshments add to the positive experience.

"A place of your own if you find the right spot. Farmers market once a month, visitors centre and toilets and easy pay parking on exit. Nice for a walk and great for kids and dogs. Beach dog friendly all year, albeit a little trek."

Richard Shaddick

"Really enjoyed this. We followed just over 5 mile circular walk with a quick detour to Kenfig Castle. Just Google circular walks and you should find some walks on there. It was very quiet when we visited. Lovely Panini's at the takeaway cafe. You must pay to park there as there is a camera which takes a picture of your car as you drive in to the nature reserve car park."

C Hindle

"Beautiful, peaceful nature reserve with extensive dunes and heathlands, wild flowers and butterflies, and then a stunning empty beach at the end of the walk. One of the hottest days of the year and we saw less than half a dozen people on the beach all day, and some of the time we were alone with miles of soft sand. Can’t wait to come back. And cheap parking a lovely bonus."
