"The Kennet and Avon Canal runs from Gloucester to Reading around 90 miles long
On this particular occasion, I walked from Devizes to Bradford on Avon, which is 12 miles long. The majority of the path is gravel. Definitely, IMO wear walking boots. depending on your fitness, it should take between 4-5 hours
When leaving Devizes , next to Canal Museum, you subsequently reach LOCKS lock, which has an impressive set of locks, which the narrow boats/barges have to negotiate
I have also walked from Bradford on Avon to Bath, which is 9 miles .long
Great place to eat on the canal is Angelfish cafe/ restaurant located in Monkton Coombe
I would advise you to carry some sort of drink to keep yourself hydrated and a snack
When you reach Bathampton, it is about 40 minutes from Bath, plenty of places to eat.
If you fancy an ice cream, a place to stop is the cafe on a barge
I believe their is a bus that runs from Bathampton to Bath check details"

"Just had a really nice, fresh and hot coffee and home-made cream and jam scones at the tea rooms. Didn’t have time to visit the museum as it closes at 4pm daily and I got delayed walking alongside the canal, which on its own is a treat."
