What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the significant transformation of the Fruit Market area into a trendy hub with vibrant bars, eateries, and art galleries, offering great views of the marina. Some note that ongoing building work can occasionally impact the immediate surroundings, and a few feel the 'market' aspect is less pronounced than expected, though the overall atmosphere and sea views are highly appreciated.
"Could become something.
They should have made sure all the building sites around the harbour (Not road works bit further but actually by harbour itself) were done by summer, maybe that would have changed the feel of the place...
Now it felt isolated from the city, the footbridge and view is blocked by the (fake) italian restaurant.
The first pub coming from the footbridge was not bad and served good fish and chips. (Went there because the oldest one in the city was closed from 3pm 🙄...)"

"It is no longer fruit market; in fact, there is no market here at all. The only thing I can see is car park and maybe restaurant. Highly disappointed ☹️. The one ⭐️ is because of the great sights of sea in that area."

"Also kind of small choice for Food street, should be something more.Otherwise nice place, colourful, clean"
