What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Kinneil Local Nature Reserve for its beautiful walking paths, stunning foreshore views, and the unique charm of the steam train. It's considered a lovely, tranquil treasure for dog walks and family outings. However, a significant drawback is the lack of bins, leading to litter and dog waste issues, which detracts from the otherwise positive experience.
"Plenty of footpaths twisting and winding around through meadows and along the shore of the Firth of Forth. Great views. Woodland. Wading birds. Picnic benches. Beautiful wee treasure in Bo’ness. And of course if you are lucky you will see the steam train running through the reserve and get a wave from the driver. Fantastic day out. And why not walk into Bo’ness for some ice cream of coffee and cake? We did and yum!"

"Lovely place to walk with plenty of paths. Mostly step free and step free path options though some are steep. Places to be trainspotting as well of the steam trains."
