Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Kirk of St Nicholas Uniting for its beautiful stained glass windows and the fascinating historical insights offered by its kirkyard and interior art. However, some have expressed concerns about the kirkyard's atmosphere in the evenings, noting it can feel unsafe due to loitering.

"On doors open day you can explore the archeological dig site, but normally you can visit the church and marvel at its beauty. They have a large folder inside with a catalogue of photos from the archeological dig. Inside the church is beyond beautiful with Marcellus stained glass windows, definitely somewhere you should visit if you’re in the city centre.

The old kirkyard has so many beautiful, exquisitely decorated old graves and infoboards explaining who’s who, with a lot of historically important peoples graves within the grounds and old graves that are hundreds of years old. The kirkyard is a beautiful wee walk, somewhere that’s beautiful at all times of year."

Sarah Takahashi

"Visited this gravy yard last week.
The bench are full of people drinking alcohol, and seems to be a meeting place of people with problems.
They shut the gates at just gone 5pm.
The graveyard needs some work done to did, and is starting to look a bit run down.
Worth a viewing... but did not feel safe at all.
Would not recommend and would not revisit."

MARK HALLIWELL

"A perfect place for All Hallow's Eve, very creepy cemetery. Enjoy!"
