Reviews Summary

Visitors often praise Baddesley Clinton for its unique charm and intimate atmosphere, describing it as a favorite National Trust property. The knowledgeable guides, well-kept gardens, and fascinating priest holes are frequently highlighted as positives. While some note its smaller size compared to other estates, most find it a worthwhile and enjoyable visit.

"Though somewhat smaller and less grand, than other NT properties, this is one of my favourite NTs.

It's quite unique in appearance and being more 'normal', you could almost imagine living here yourself.

The usual friendly and helpful volunteers, talking about the history, which is always great to hear.

Definitely a location worth visiting. Just be aware that it is smaller and consequently you may well be finished quicker than with a larger property."

Harvey Greensmith

"Excellent tour of the lovely moated house, with enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer guides adding to the experience, grand great hall with massive fireplace in use, rooms each with appropriate furniture several centuries old, with stories of the people that lived there. The priest hole is a fascinating rare feature, where catholic priests hid from government raids, in the late 1500s for many decades. The encircling gardens are varied and worth a wander around, and there's a good cafe restaurant in an original barn"

Steve Mayers

"A fantastic example of an historic moated manor house. Its a national trust location so free if you are a member. The guides were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The gardens and grounds are very well kept. A cafe, church, and second hand book shop are all located here as well, lots to see and do. A good location for a keen photographer."
