"Lovely place to walk with my dog"
kinverceramics
"Not the safest area to let dogs of lead, my dog ran of the field and chased a cat, he sadly got knocked over by a car & died in my arms. so tragic.
It's been nearly 5 years since I lost my dog & I have only just started letting my Cockapoo off lead to play ball as she is more reliable.
As for my Pug bless him, he tends to stray near to the road area so I have to be more strick with his lead walks. The field is lovely to walk around. It would be great if it had fencing with gates around it to make it more safer though ☺️"

"It's nice to walk around with my dog as little else left in the area, but very close to houses and roads so I personally need to keep my dog on her lead. Apparently deer have been seen there recently, but I've not been lucky enough to see myself."

Dog Walking at Laugherne Brook
For those seeking a more secure off-leash experience, the current setup might be a concern. Some visitors have suggested that fencing with gates around the main field would significantly enhance safety. Despite this, the reserve remains a valued local spot for a quick walk, with its well-kept paths and minimal litter contributing to a pleasant experience for both pets and their owners.
Wildlife Spotting Opportunities
For the best chance of spotting wildlife, visiting during the quieter times of the day, such as early mornings or late afternoons, is often recommended. These periods tend to have less human activity, allowing animals to feel more comfortable emerging.
