"I just came back from the Halloween Heritage Tour at Leith Theatre and must say, that I‘m impressed by all the hard work and compassion these people put into this interesting building! As a tourist I like to explore unusual aka non-touristic parts of a city and this location made me rise in love with Edinburgh! I have a background in theatre acting and I‘m highly touched by the great care and thoughts you all put into the Leith Theatre. Thank you! Especially the long backstage corridor with its wooden doors and the unique overall smell of the building made a big impression. May more people rise in love with this part of Edinburgh again. "Sadly this isn't fit for purpose at the moment, but I'm sure it'll be a lovely building when renovated. I'd close it til then though. Paint peels from every surface, insulation hangs from the ceiling. In other areas, the ceiling is completely missing. There's very little that isn't damaged. The toilets I was directed to were in a portakabin outside."
