Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Lesnes Abbey Ruins and Park as a beautiful, free escape into nature with something for everyone. The historical ruins, extensive woodlands, and excellent children's playground are consistently praised. Some mention that after rain, the paths can get muddy, so appropriate footwear is advised for exploring the deeper areas.

"Just about 10 minutes walking distance from Abbeywood station (southeastern and Elizabeth Line) is this stunning Lesnes Abbey Park. The Abbey Ruins and the MonkS Garden withhyhe Lodge where you can get snacks, coffee and toilet facilities. Miles of dense woods. The birds chirp and the lush green wood is such a treat away from the mad crowd. Dog walk, runner or walker/ hiking all get the best of this place. For the adventurous one, there are almost 45 degree hill slope to climb too. You can do a full loop or half loop or. Quarter loop or just pass through from Abbeywood to Bexleyheath.

There’s also a sand pit like spot where fossils have been dug out by children. School children visit this site for their education and is totally free. My son dug out what appears to be the tooth of a marine creature!

Children haw fun running around the Ruins and if that has not burn up their energy, a short 5 minutes walk through the green takes you to the large children park with goat slides, obstacles, swings and everything a child needs to release those energy.

On a fine day above cream van will be there to top up the great day!

Highly recommend for family day out!"
