Buying in Liskeard??
After 10 years in Bristol I’ve decided to move back to Cornwall and buy. I don’t have a huge budget - max £160k. There’s a handful of houses in Liskeard that need some work but would be decent. Is this a good idea? My family moved out of Cornwall when I did so I have no idea…

Visiting Cornwall without a car: possibility or not?

Is it possible to do a solo Cornwall trip without a car?
Hi everyone, I’m based in London but have always wanted to visit Cornwall. I’ve saved dozens of photos on Pinterest of rugged sea cliffs, moody skies, crashing waves, etc. However, I don't have a car. I’d be travelling solo and ideally want to stay for at least 4 days (maybe…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Liskeard offers a quiet, historical experience with a highly praised free museum and friendly staff. However, visitors should be aware that the town becomes very subdued after 4 PM, with many attractions and shops closing, which can lead to disappointment if not planned for.
"After hearing such an excellent report about the Minions in my language, I was very curious about the rest of Liskeard and just went there. How big was my disappointment about this dull place. Even when parking I was surprised that I only had to pay until 4pm. When I went into the town to get information from the tourist office, it was already closed, as was the museum, which had the same entrance. Basically the whole place was dead from 4pm. I couldn't even visit St. Hugh's Church.
We had planned to take this place as the central point of our four-week vacation. We quickly changed our mind. Especially as the planned campsite had impossible access for motorhomes and the network connections there were poor.
As good and informative as the town's website was, tourism is written differently."
