What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lister Mills is a historically significant site, lauded for its impressive architecture and transformation into apartments and workspaces. While the heritage and design are praised, some residents report concerns about local security and noise. The adjacent Lister Park is a popular spot for community events.
"Beautiful historic building of the late 1800s producing the majority of Europe’s silk, the chimney stands at an impressive 250ft at was built out of 8100 tonnes of Yorkshire Sanstone. There is a myth that says you can drive a horse and carriage around the top of the chimney...well unless your Ken and Barbie I wouldn’t!."

"The carpark needs to be secure, both gates should be locked, too many junkies and loafers about who don't even live here. The management needs to sort all these things out. Today I saw spit in the lift and then some inconsiderate t word decided to play loud music downstairs when people have work in the morning. It's time for security guards to patrol and stop this.
And the water supply keeps getting cut on a building this big is an absolute joke. It seems wastemen are running this ship"
Tony Knight The One And Only
"Very calm apartment buildings (silk warehouse and velvet warehouse) converted from one of largest mill, easy access to town center."
