What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Little Bolton Town Hall for its sophisticated ambiance, excellent craft ale selection, and charming courtyard. The friendly service and unique board game offerings add to its appeal. However, its very limited opening hours and slightly higher drink prices are noted drawbacks.
"I love this place. It has a lovely laid back atmosphere. Service is friendly and swift. Nice but limited food menu. A great drinks menu too. But it is only open one and a half days a week and although there are signs saying "we are open " the door being shut gives the very opposite impression. The door obviously has to be shut in this weather so I cant see a compromise. I cant wait to return"

"It was a great idea to transform this neglected historic buildings into a nice little bar. The owners are putting a lot of effort into making it a success. The range of ales is good. Pricey but not completely stupid. Suffers a bit from being slightly off the beaten twin centre track but then again sometimes you want to be slightly out of town centre. Never tried the food but believe it is reasonable. Worth a try."

"Great little bar hidden away near the casino. Tastefully decorated and lit, with an interesting draught selection. We found the table that happened to have a selection of board games too which was a good find! Shame it was so quiet though but hopefully this gem will be uncovered by more soon."

The Unique Charm of Little Bolton Town Hall
The bar is particularly noted for its interesting draught selection of craft ales, which are a major draw for patrons. While these are described as 'pricey but not completely stupid', the quality and variety seem to justify the cost for many. Complementing the drinks is a 'nice but limited' food menu, offering reasonable options for those who wish to dine. The addition of a nice courtyard further enhances the appeal, providing a pleasant outdoor space to enjoy drinks, especially in good weather.
One of the most distinctive aspects of Little Bolton Town Hall is its limited opening schedule. It's only open one and a half days a week, which, while adding to its exclusive feel, also means visitors must be diligent about checking the days and times before making a trip. This scarcity, combined with its location slightly off the beaten track near the casino, contributes to its quiet ambiance, though some hope this gem will be 'uncovered by more soon'. The presence of board games at some tables also adds a unique, interactive element to the visitor experience.
