Today we went back in time to a 17th Century village called Little Woodham. I must say, I learned so much about carpentry, baking, apothecary, the barber/dentist, spinning yarn and weaving and Shayth’s favorite! The Blacksmith. A brilliant living history village.

"A lovely afternoon out at little Woodham. A step back in time to the 17th century. The actors where very knowledgeable about their role at that period. The ground is a bit rough if you have mobility issues but my wife did manage to get around using her rollator. Lots of parking and toilets near by.
Check the website as village has limited opening days"

"Absolutely marvellous place! It's small but the houses are not the main attraction here. It's the 'villagers'. All the volunteers are in character and have wonderful stories to tell, from which you can learn a lot about life in the 17th century. You can spend a good few hours here listening and interacting with them.
Donate as much as you can, because the village runs entirely on entrance fees and donations, without subsidies or government grants.
We will come again next time we're in the country. Check the website for opening days, because it's not always open."
