Visitors generally find the Liverpool Playhouse to be a venue with a beautiful, classical interior and a commitment to quality theatre, from new writing to classics. The staff are consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, making for a welcoming experience. However, a significant drawback for many is the cramped and small seating, which can impact comfort, and the high cost of drinks and snacks.
"I've been to see a few different shows here (Woman in Black, Ghost Stories and The Croft), and it's been a nice experience each time. Every staff member I've encountered has been friendly, the only negative I'd say really is that the seats are very cramped but aside from that it's a cool place."

"Playhouse is very easy to find and accessible, close to buses and trains and car parking in Queens Square or St John's precinct. There is a lift to Circle seats. However, only steps down to seats, which are close together and relatively small. Larger bodies will struggle! Auditorium is beautifully decorated in classical style and a step back in time to Music Hall days. There are comfortable bar/lounge areas Staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit."

"Brilliant show, spectacular dancing. Took my granddaughter to her first ballet and she was thrilled. Meeting the dancers afterwards was so very special for her. Thank you for another great evening."
