What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning panoramic views of the coast and mountains from Mynydd Tir y Cwmwd, with the Tin Man sculpture being a unique highlight. However, many caution about the challenging and steep steps from Llanbedrog beach, which can be obstructed by fallen trees and require good fitness and sturdy footwear.
"A wonderful place for a walk with panoramic views of the beach and surrounding areas. We started from the gallery building and shortened our return by heading directly to the beach, where the path is blocked by trees, requiring some exercise."

"One of our favourite walks in the area, always started off after lunch at the the Aqua Bar on Llanbedrog beach, or finished off by food at the Glyn y Weddw Arms in Llanbedrog. It can be quite tricky at the moment (July 2025) as several trees have fallen on the steep steps leading up to the summit, so you definitely need some level of agility and fitness, my children wife and little dog managed to navigate the obstruction without too much trouble though. Once on the top there are beautiful panoramic views of the coast and mountains in the distance, we tend to walk all the way around the headlands to the other side and head back towards Abersoch down some steep steps on the opposite side to Llanbedrog. Always clears the cobwebs away."

"Amazing walk to see the tin man sculpture and around the headland. The steps from the beach are really steep and there are alot of them, so not for the faint hearted. You can access from another path, avoiding the steps from the village but there is still alot of uphill. The views from.the top are amazing."
