Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Loch Ryan for its stunning, expansive views and the captivating spectacle of the large ferries. The opportunity for beachcombing and enjoying picnics by the water are also frequently highlighted as enjoyable activities for families. While beautiful, some note the lack of facilities as a minor drawback.

"loch Ryan is huge what views you get is second to none you see the harbour, lighthouse , see the stenna ,and p and o ferries as well as the beach and as you look out you might see whales or dolphins so take binoculars and a camera well worth a visit"

paul burns

"Great place to stop and stretch your legs if travelling. We stopped to let the kids have a run around on the beach. Lots of shells and bits and pieces if you have children that like collecting or for little craft projects.

Driving round a little further we found some picnic tables along the edge of the loch where we stopped for our lunch and watched the ferry come and go, which was exciting for the children to watch.

Spoke to some locals who were friendly and helpful.

No facilities that I know of so that brought my stars down a little but beautiful to see."

"Had caravan near by and didn't realise it was so big. Found somewhere to park in small village and walked through pretty woods to get to the shore. Had picnic . Kids found great shells and enjoyed watching the ferries and the waves they made!"
