Reviews Summary

Guests often praise Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa for its stunning location overlooking Derwentwater and the attentive service from specific staff members. The spa's outdoor hydro pool is a highlight, offering a relaxing experience with beautiful views. However, some visitors have noted issues with room noise, inconsistent food quality, and less impressive indoor spa facilities for the price.

"I recently stayed at The Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa and overall the experience was pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Dinner was enjoyable too, with both traditional English dishes and some Asian options available.

The spa facilities were relaxing and the environment was good. The treatments were fine, though I felt they could have been a bit stronger to be more effective.

However, one thing that left me genuinely disappointed was that I had been told there would be a small gift on my birthday, but this was forgotten on the day. It may seem minor, but when something is promised to a guest, not following through can be more disappointing than if nothing had been mentioned at all.

Overall, it was a lovely stay with many positives, but I do hope the hotel can pay more attention to keeping their promises to guests in the future."

"I’m not usually one for writing reviews, but I felt this stay deserved one. Our visit to Lodore Falls very nearly didn’t happen – when I first called to book meals and spa reservations, the staff member I spoke to came across quite abruptly, and I was honestly close to cancelling the whole trip. We all have bad days though, and thankfully I decided to try again.

The second time I rang, I spoke with Jess in the spa, and she completely turned things around. From the moment she answered the phone she was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. She not only put my mind at ease but has been brilliant in every interaction since – Jess really saved the day.

On arrival, we were greeted by Jodie on reception, who was just as impressive. She was polite, engaging, and made check-in a pleasure rather than a chore. That kind of welcome makes such a difference and set the tone for the rest of our stay.

The hotel itself is in a stunning setting, and once we got settled in, we were able to really relax and enjoy everything Lodore Falls has to offer. What could have been a disappointing start turned into a fantastic experience thanks to the kindness and professionalism of Jess and Jodie."

"Absolutely gorgeous place, amazing experience. Hotel was lovely and all staff were friendly and helpful. Spa was such a relaxing experience, 2 hours was just the right amount of time after treatments (which were absolutely worth every penny). We had dinner in the standard restaurant, which was probably the only small let down as my risotto didn’t have much taste at all, however everything else was good.
Would 100% recommend the hotel and spa"
