"Stunning, largely original Elizabethan moated house. Much of the massive service area looks like it was vacated yesterday. The ovens, the open hearth, the massive copper (laundry tub) all ready to go. Plus all the murals in their rooms above - which the puritans must have missed. Just brilliant and I work as a guide at an open air museum in Sussex of same period so not easily impressed. Also it's very relaxed - not like the usual suspects"
