"We joined the "Staffa Tours" boat at Mingary Pier in Kilchoan at 10am - the journey to Lunga took us out of the sound of mull via the North of Mull and South of Ardnamurchan before heading Southwards down the North Western Coast of Mull - the boat stops at the stunning Isle of Staffa and Fingal's Cave before heading to Lunga, the passage is about 1.5 - 2hrs. We were lucky with the weather, however, I imagine this crossing could be cold wet and uncomfortable on bad weather days - though indoor seating is available on the boat. Passengers are free to wander the Island of Lunga for around 2.5 - 3hrs. The island its self is stunning with gorgeous panoramic views across the Hebridean Sea, with the Paps of Jura and Goat Fell on Arran visible to the South, and the Small Isles & Coll visible to the north - alongside Iona, Mull and the other Treshnish Isles. There is a very large puffin colony on the Western side of the Island - flying overhead, nesting in burrows on the clifftops - these creatures are incredibly charismatic and it is possible to get fairly close to them for photo's etc, there are ropes to mark areas you can't pass so as not to invade their nesting area. An amazing day out - through beware - this will be a challenging day for anyone with limited mobility - the paths are rough and steep in places, some rock hopping on the Lunga foreshore may be necessary and getting on and off the boat may require a big step up or step down."

"Beautiful island! What a way to enjoy nature! You must have good balance and wear sturdy shoes as it can be slippery, but is one of the most beautiful places in the world!"
