"Luton General Cemetery is a serene and well-maintained space that holds deep historical and cultural significance for the town. Walking through the cemetery, you’ll find a wide range of headstones and memorials, some dating back well over a century, each telling its own quiet story.

"I can't believe I haven't come across this cemetery sooner.
Like many of our older cemeteries, it's left to go wild during spring & summer as a habitat for wildlife, but the grass is mowed at the end of summer.
On a smaller scale, this is of a similar design to the magnificent seven, with plenty of memorials that are angels & obelisks.
The only other people I saw were dog walkers. Parking is limited, but you can drive your car in if attending to a particular grave. The Chapel is now a home,I assume, lived in by the warden. Note that the cemetery is locked up at the end of the day. I spotted 3 entrances,so don't get caught out if visiting
towards the end of the day.
Overall I enjoy my visit & it offers some fantastic photo opportunities to any keen photographer."

"A very nice Cemetery, Very well looked after , clean and tidy. It has a nice Chapel at the entrance with a lovely big stained glass window at the back . At the back of this Cemetery are some lovely high tress with a nice walkway going down the middle of them , it looks very nice. I never see any litter here at all."
