What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Maidenhead Thicket as a wonderful, dog-friendly natural space perfect for walks and socializing pets. The nearby Stubbings Nursery cafe is a highly recommended bonus. While generally well-drained, some areas can become very muddy after rain, making appropriate footwear essential.
"I walk here every day with my 3 dogs. Off lead adventures for them, and there's always someone around to say good morning or afternoon to. The extra treat is Stubbings nursery with their wonderful cafe and shop. Not to be missed! Very muddy at the mo though - wellies are a must!"
Jessie Davis
"A fantastic place to walk and socialise your dog. There are also horse riders and other walkers and runners that use the meadow so some caution is required when out with your pet. There are poo bins at the main path exits from the meadow and also one at the car park across the road from the meadow.
Bring some wellies on rainy days as it can get quite muddy near the various entrances. But the majority of the ground is well drained so your dog won't get too muddy."
Ray Creamer
"Great place to walk and socialize your dogs. Please don't be lazy - pick up your dog poo! Be carefull though, there are sometimes horse riders (they generally don't follow the designated bridleway) and deer on the meadow - so keep an eye out."
