Maltby Street Market is lauded as a fantastic, albeit small, market with absolutely delicious food and a charming atmosphere. Visitors praise its unique setting under railway arches and its vibrant array of global flavors. While some find it a bit compact, the quality of food, artisan bars, and community feel make it a highly recommended spot, often considered an underrated gem compared to busier markets. "Maltby Market is a beautiful market, a little bit small, but the food is absolutely fantastic. I loved the Cuban sandwich and the crème brûlée cruller, I liked the cruller so much, I took a box of four home. There’s also a shop in the market where you can buy beautiful homeware, like cups, plates, and other things to decorate your house. And you can get the best coffee in London at Watch House right there. Highly recommended."

"Cute street food market.
Easy walk from Bermondsey station.
A variety of food stalls and little bars along one side to eat your food, a few extra tables just outside.
Excellent coffee, great beers, very good crullers.
I would come again for sure."

Tanya Palmer

"Borough market can be too busy crowded and not really the best place to sit and eat. Maltby street has a real community feel to it where everyone is looking to help each other out and not compete with one another. Worth visiting for the food and the bars"
