What Travellers Say

"Great little ferry boat across the harbour. I loved the bit where you have to request the ferry by opening up a big orange signal!"
Gary Hartnoll
"Really straightforward from North to South, buy your tickets from the kiosk, get on the ferry and have a chat with the friendly skipper while they carry you across the river.
You'll need to time your crossing though as the service doesn't run all day and may be affected by very low tides.
£7 one way which I think is fair considering you wouldn't want to swim and its an 8-mile detour"
Dave Pass
"Despite what the website and lots of information online says, it does not run a couple hours either side of very low tides. Information seems to be published on one of the two Facebook pages, but even then reality was 30 minutes later than stated. Need clearer information online if you're going to advertise yourself as a key link on a national trail."
