Any good libraries in Manchester? Where you can study peacefully and no children screaming around the tables? (If is posible with parking spaces less than 5 minutes away)

The upstairs reading room in the central library is okay, but you'll struggle to park within 5 minutes without spending a fortune.

Library/ quiet spots in Manchester?

Hi All! Anyone know of any libraries other than the very busy and packed Central and John Dylan's (St Peters Square) that are not busy and great to get your head down in? Say, a 2-3 mile radius from Central is okay. Cheers Edit - John *Rylands* autocorrect done me wrong.

"I got caught by the beautiful building from outside I was exploring the city and it was a nice edition. At first I saw it on the maps and the unique architecture captured my attention. Unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to explore the books or check the selection but what I can assume the archive is pretty loaded and the music library looks decent.
I was specially impressed by the architecture and the golden interior details. The reading rooms are quiet and communal rooms have ample space. Wolfsome reading room and the music library were my personal favorites.
The interior, I can’t stress enough how beautiful the space is I would spend days reading in here."

"Lovely library in the centre of Manchester. Plenty of books available, as well as study areas, quiet areas, and a cafe. This place has EVERYTHING! I used to study on the 1st floor frequently at university because you can hear a pin drop! It’s fantastic. Also love this place because it has a large prayer area. It’s on the LG floor and has toilets fairly near. Great place!"
