"A wonderful trip down memory lane to this wonderful, special place. A special thanks to Peter and Adrian for the highly entertaining house tour. We must return soon and not just for the cakes! 🍰 Actually, you can visit the coffee shop, tortoise and play area separately to the house and garden admission."

"Absolutely beautiful! The gardens are a delight, with formal flower beds overflowing with unusual plants and fragrant blossoms, ancient-styled garden features, and many places to sit and contemplate, and admire the beautiful surroundings. We stayed in the Garden Cottage, an original cottage near the main house and made from local mellow golden stone. With 3 bedrooms, this was wonderfully spacious with comfortable, with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. We enjoyed a fire in the huge fireplace in the dining room in the evenings, and sitting outside in the gardens for breakfast. It was a wonderful stay!"

"Visiting from Australia. Easy to book a tour online. The whole experience was wonderful, from the greeting at the front ticket desk. The guided tour was fun, informative and Peter, our guide, bought the history of the house and families involved to life. Followed by a light refreshment in the Cafe, again with lovely staff. I was lucky enough to meet and chat to Julie, The Countess, as she was out and about managing operations. Very approachable and hands on. As a horticulturist I strolled leisurely around the gardens taking in the history, ambience and variety of vegetation. Overall a lovely 3 hours on a perfect sunny day. I highly recommend the tour and gardens."
