"Hello, I've been watching a rerun of a brilliant police series on iPlayer called,
Life on Mars. The show is very good in quite a few ways, time travel, the music is brilliant and the location's used. I knew the Church in the background of one show was a church I recognised in Middleton. After checking my Google Maps I found it was :
St Leonard's, so I went to have a look.
What a lovely little gem it is, built-in the mid 1100's I understand and a wooden church before this stone one. See the photos. I could not go in, it was all locked up. I'm hoping to go again soon and next time try and have a look inside. Special thanks to all who have looked after and loved this wonderful local place of worship."
