"Interesting old building"

"A stately old building with a distinctive clock tower right in the centre of Dumfries. In past centuries it was a town hall, courthouse, prison and armoury. The surrounding area is pedestrianised with plenty of seating and places to eat and drink. The main high street shops are also in this vicinity but I was here on a Sunday morning when most of them were closed. Within easy walking distance of the Robert Burns House and other places of historic interest."
