What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Miznon London offers a vibrant and creative take on Israeli street food, with its signature pitas and hummus receiving high praise. While some diners find certain dishes pricey or inconsistent, the unique flavors, lively atmosphere, and generous freebies like pita and dips make it a popular choice for many. The Erev by Miznon concept in Notting Hill adds a romantic dining option.
"The food was hit and miss - the hummus with mushrooms was good-but was it worth the £16? Nope.
The salad was appalling. Just see the photo attached. The crunchy pitta bread was soaked in oil. Again, was it worth the £15? For a measly salad? Absolutely not.
The bag of green, which was basically green beans boiled, was good, but was it worth the £10? Uh-Uh. £10!! 🤦
The chicken livers was good, and they were only £13! Definitely worth it!
I booked a table via EatClub and got 35% off the total bill, and still I think I overpaid by a lot!"

"Interesting Mediterranean casual restaurant with a creative menu and some very tasty dishes although not everything on the menu actually deliverers in terms of quality. The star of our meal was the pitta with chicken liver, it sounds like a challenge but it's fantastic and the best way to try the dish if you never had it before. The hummus and falafel are also very tasty and the fluffy pitta bread is delicious. We had a couple of dishes that were not as good, the dry rotisserie chicken and the overdone kebabs but it's probably just down to a bad day in the kitchen rather than the usual standards, it was a bit chaotic in there when we visited. They offer free pitta slices with tahini and chilli which is laid out on the counter, this is a brilliant gesture but no one tells you about it and it's a shame. We will visit again for sure, it's creative and tasty but maybe not perfect."

The Art of the Pita
Beyond the signature pitas, Miznon also offers a selection of creative dishes and salads. However, some diners have noted that while the flavors can be good, the value for money on certain non-pita items, like salads, can be questionable. The chicken livers are a standout exception, frequently praised for their taste and reasonable price point. The restaurant also provides complimentary pita slices with tahini and chili sauce, a generous touch that enhances the overall dining experience.
Eyal Shani, the renowned Israeli chef behind Miznon, is known for his bold culinary approach and his ability to transform simple ingredients into extraordinary dishes. This philosophy is evident in every aspect of Miznon London, from the creative menu to the vibrant, sometimes chaotic, restaurant atmosphere. It's a place where traditional flavors are reimagined with a contemporary, playful twist.
Atmosphere and Ambiance
In contrast, the Notting Hill location offers a more nuanced experience. During the day, it can be more casual, with self-service options. However, for dinner, it transforms into 'Erev by Miznon', a more intimate and romantic setting. With dimmed lights and abundant candles, it creates a dreamy ambiance ideal for date nights or special occasions. This duality allows Miznon to cater to different moods and preferences, showcasing its versatility.
Regardless of the specific location or time of day, Miznon aims to provide a welcoming and engaging environment. The staff are often described as friendly and helpful, contributing to the overall positive experience. It’s a place where you can expect good food, good company, and a memorable time.
