I had a great time last Sunday when I walked the first part of the Wirral Coast Walk from New Brighton to Leasowe. Lots of sandy beaches and sand dunes! The map said it's 6km but I ended up walking to Leasowe train station with was another 2km! Highlights along the way included the North Wirral Coastal Park, Wirral Older People's Parliament benches, and the sand dunes! @wirralcouncil @wirrallife...

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise North Wirral Coastal Park for its expansive beaches, accessible paths, and stunning sunset views, making it a favorite for dog walkers and families. However, a significant drawback mentioned is the persistent issue of dog waste, which detracts from the otherwise beautiful and peaceful environment.

"Good dog walks especially with the flat concrete ground. Easily accessible too also because of the flat ground. Dog waste is a big problem though, I go on a bike ride everyday as my routine here and almost always find dog poo in my tires after!!"

Esme Clarke

"I grew up with this beach and I visit every time I come home, if weather is nice. However I was very surprised to see how overgrown it was along the pathways. Sand and rock pools looked so clear and inviting though. Good to see Lifeguards on duty with up to date equipment and good warning signs.
On a day like today it's a beautiful peaceful place to be."

Dawn Hall

"There are some beautiful seafront walks along here. At low tide a large sandy beach and foreshore is exposed. The area is clean and full of birdlife. Sunrises and sunsets can be glorious. Views to the Liverpool docks on one side, Wales on the other, wind farms out to sea with ferries in the distance. Lots of different car parks and points of access. There are a few places dotted around for a coffee. Watch out for returning tides around Leasowe, it's easy to get cut off."
