"What a splendid place to spend a day! I loved the River walk and there are some magnificent trees, really huge and old. Lots to learn in the house. Don't miss the Walled garden and Water garden. Two nice cafes plus smaller one in the walled garden. The NT shop is the nicest I have seen. Everything is set out in a very attractive way."

"Mottisfont run by the NT was a gem hidden in the Hampshire countryside.
We had been recommended the Rose garden and even though the roses and many of the flowers were past there best show ( June) there were many beautiful roses and flowers to see.
The scents were heavenly, I especially like old fashioned roses with scents to match, well worth sticking your nose near the rose petals as the perfume was fabulous.
Everywhere was within easy access I was with my 91 yrs old Mother who is not as steady on her feet but managed to get around with a couple of seat stops and a cuppa in the old kitchen cafe on arrival!
Great day out"
