"Stunning little walk through the woods the path is solid you could walk this trail in all weathers it’s basically a single path you follow up to an amazing walk around what’s left of a castle there’s not much left but it’s still really nice to see it also has great views of them surrounding forest, it’s a circular route leading you back to the overflow part of the carpark. The car park is £7 for the day or less if your only there a few hours. We walked on down the beach to Whitby it’s all a dog friendly walk with lots to see and do. In the way back to the car there’s a cracking fish n chip shop."

"Decided to take the dog for a good walk in the woods as the weather wasn't the best.
Lovely quiet woods.
We went to see the ruins but we got a tad lost. It was meant to be a 3mile round walk we ended up walking 4.1miles with no ruins .. not to worry.
Nice walk, could be better signposted but it is what it is.
Some fab views of whitby and the Abbey though 😍😍"

"Woods are closed all through May. Helpfully it says this on a sign that is located at wood gates after you’ve paid £3.70 to park. So that’s nice."
