"A hidden gem! If not because of the brown sign across the road, I wouldn’t have noticed there is such a beautiful and educational museum behind the scaffolding. The staff were all so wonderful, happy for a chat and can tell us so much about the historic building as well as the town. Amazingly there is a mammoth tusk on display in the museum. There are activity bags for children to play anywhere in a quiet place! My two kids had the best museum tea party ever. If we weren’t off somewhere, we would happily stay for longer. What a wonderful place to spend time! It’s also free to visit."
