The well-maintained gardens, including a charming Victorian glasshouse and carp lake, are a highlight. "A relaxing experience. Free to enter (pay for parking if you travel by car). Beautiful planting. Interesting information boards explaining the history of the house and gardens. Good café. Great to enjoy the plants and ambience for an hour or two."
Ruth Carter
"These botanical gardens are quite small: their single greenhouse is maybe 30m2 big, their bluebell meadow to s 20m x120m, and there is only one flower bed, but gorgeous, and free to visit. The house is not visitable. The gates are supposed to be locked down at 4 pm, but, in practice, it happens later, at least on the day when I was there."
Yulia Voevodskaya
"Beautiful place...excellent combination of history, natural beauty conservation and rich variety of plants."
