What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The O2 Academy Leeds is a well-regarded venue, praised for its excellent sound quality, diverse artist bookings, and particularly its outstanding accessibility services. While drink prices are noted as high and the standing area can be challenging for visibility and comfort, the overall experience is often described as well-organized and enjoyable, making it a favorite for many concert-goers.
"This is a great venue. Although, the frisking and bag checks may seem a bit OTT, but that's par for the course these days. So don't get offended! Downstairs it's standing room only. There's bars at the back and to the rear of the sides, incl. a merch shop. Upstairs it's banked seating. The seats aren't massive but I've sat in worse! I think drinks are expensive (anything more than £4.50 a pint is, to me), but probably on a par with similar venues. Shame they've removed the couple of sofas which were just off the left side of the standing area downstairs. These provided comfort for those whose legs needed a break from standing. Getting to a toilet isn't too bad, there's a few around the place. The cloakroom is £3 a pop, and I also trusted them with my camera; all were kept safe. I've been there quite a few times now and I quite like it. They pull in decent-sized bands. I've recently seen Pixies, Akt Tunstall, Inspiral Carpets, and the Pixies there. Awesome sound each time."

"One of the best venues I have been to, from getting in (so well organised). To the view and atmosphere (Primal Scream). Definitely will be looking out for future gigs."

"Came tonight to watch Mario on his glad you came tour, worth every penny, even the £18 double pint glasses just to hear him sing let me love you live, clean venue, safe fun and friendly staff, easy access in and out and no big que when leaving. Merchandise was available on the way out and would highly recommend to anyone considering coming to watch gig here"
