The elevated position affords the tower extensive views over the surrounding parkland, countryside and the Leicester skyline, and allows the tower's unusual shape to be seen from a long way off.
The upper area of Bradgate Park is great for a walk with our without a dog. Well marked paths lead to the war memorial and down to the ruins of Bradgate house, passing rugged rocks dating back many millions of years on the way.
There's plenty of parking and public toilets at the Hunts Hill entrance, around 5-10 minutes walk from the tower. Parking charges are for the day only, reasonably priced if you're staying for a couple of hours."

"Really gorgeous view up and around Old John Tower it can be a bit busy around there at times, especially in the weekends.
But if you not in a rush you can get really nice photos.
